Harrow Christmas Lights Switch-on

Harrow Town Centre hosted a huge Christmas Party on the 28th November to celebrate turning on this year’s christmas lights.

Radio Harrow broadcasted live from midday through to 6pm, showcasing all the extra special festive fun for those out and about doing Christmas shopping during the day.

The day featured lots of fun activities and performances for all the family. Children enjoyed guest appearances from Small & Tiny from the Clangers and Ice Age’s Sid & Scrat who popped round at Santa’s grotto as well as the main stage.

On the main stage Ben Felton, Miles Otway and Matt Blank (volunteers from Radio Harrow), compered the entertainment which featured live performances from a variety of local artists including dancers, Indian dhol drummers and a DJ. Ruhi Rajani, Ministry of Dhol and Kidology were just a few among the array of local talent.

Local shoppers were also treated to street entertainers, fairground rides and a firework display which launched the festive season with a bang.
