The 2024 edition of Local Radio Day focussed on building bridges, and this year, the Radio Harrow team did just that with a day of live broadcasting to mark the occasion.
The day began with a special edition of the breakfast show, hosted by David Reece.
Shrey Puranik then broadcast a mid-morning show, Local Shreydio Day, during which Andrew Bottcher caught up with the organisers of Northolt’s Haunted House.
At midday, a Local Radio Day Team Show special aired, with live interviews with Sharon from Mums For Lungs, and Julian Lloyd, CEO of the regional branch of Age UK.
There was live coverage on social media throughout with Radio Harrow volunteers and members of the community alike sharing what local radio meant to them. We’ve included the videos from our official Instagram page below.
