Radio Harrow supported the cyclists from St Mark’s Hospital Foundation’s Colon Challenge as they crossed the finish line after their 280-mile long bike ride at King’s Cross Square.
The Colon Challenge was organised by Paul Bouscarle, a bowel cancer patient at St Mark’s Hospital.
After 4 days of pedalling, the cyclists were greeted by a huge event outside King’s Cross Station on Saturday 30th May.
The Radio Harrow team were broadcasting live at the event from 11am to 2pm, talking to the cyclists, interviewing representatives of the hospital and featuring live music. Listen back to the podcast from the event.
Sarah Marshall, the Clinical Programme Manager from St Mark’s Bowel Cancer Screening Centre spoke to Gary on the Breakfast show ahead of the event:
The cyclists raised over £50,000 for the cause and you can still donate here.
